What the game actually is

MOGGED: Looksmaxx or Die is a one-to-eight player co-op horror comedy from Sigma Labs, built around proximity voice chat and a very simple threat: something in the frat house hunts whoever looks worst, every single night. You and your friends share a looks quota that rises each week you survive, so the game is really about converting daytime shopping and self-improvement into a number high enough to keep the group alive.

The twist is that looks are not a stat bar sitting on top of the game — they are the game. Being prettier than your friends keeps you alive; being prettier than the quota keeps the run going.

The loop, briefly

Fail the group quota and you all surrender to hopelessness together. Clear it, and the quota goes up.

Before you buy

• Price: $6.99, stated by the developers on the official site.
• Release: October 1, 2026 in Early Access, Windows only, via Steam.
• Players: one through eight, online, with open proximity voice chat.
• Requirements: 16GB RAM and an RTX 3060 Ti / RX 6700 XT class card, plus a microphone.
• Content: the store page carries a full mature-content warning — gore, drug use, satire about self-harm, jump scares and unfiltered voice chat.

What to do first

1. Read the tutorial prompts instead of skipping them — the game teaches extraction before it teaches danger.
2. Buy the cheap cart. The first real task is literally a looksmaxxing item under $80.
3. Learn one safe route from the house to the exit, then repeat it until curfew stops surprising you.

Worth knowing
